Sioen Apparel

Sioen Apparel, with HQ in Belgium, is 1 of the 3 divisions of the vertically integrated textile group Sioen Industries (other divisions: Chemicals & Technical Textiles). We design, manufacture & sell a wide range of Personal Protective Clothing for mainly the European industrial, maritime, firefighting, military & law enforcement, forestry, ... market, including large public procurement tenders. We have several experts in National, CEN and ISO standardization Committees on PPE.

In the project, SIOEN is responsible for:

  • WP1, task 1.1 development of semi-automated workstations for repair & dismantling

  • WP2, task 2.3 Open data standard, & input on standardisation mapping activities

  • WP2, Lead in task 2.4 Design for circularity

  • WP4, task 4.2 Semi-automated work stations

  • WP4, task 4.4 Production circular garments

  • WP5, task 5.4 Policy & standardization input (public procurement & standardisation/certification)
