Södra

Founded in 1938, Södra is Sweden’s largest forest owners’ association, with 52,000 individual forest owners as members. Södra is also an international forestry group, with 3,000 employees working throughout the world. 2021 sales totalled SEK 27 billion. It produces timber products, paper and textile pulp, and green energy. Making good use of the whole tree and developing new products from the incredible raw material the forest provides, Södra is a world-leading pulp producer and runs one of Europe’s largest sawmill operations. With value-creating relationships and a long-term approach, Södra is working with its partners for a more circular future.

In the CISUTAC consortium, Södra and OnceMore will contribute with tests for Fibre-to-fibre textile recycling technologies for post-consumer polyester and cotton. Further, Södra will also contribute in scenario building for the circular T&C transition, open data standard and design for circularity.
